From Northern Virginia

Take the Beltway over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and to Route 5 South. Follow Rte. 5 through Leonardtown and continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach St. Mary's City.

You will see a sign welcoming you to St. Mary's City then the St. Mary's River on the right as you enter the St. Mary's College of Maryland campus.

To the State House, the Shop at Farthing's Ordinary, and the Gazebo (47418 Old State House Road, St. Mary's City):

Just past the water, take the first right onto Trinity Church Road . Go up the hill, straight ahead is a tall brick building with the sign "State House of 1676". You may park in the parking lot just past the State House on the right side.

To the Visitor Center (18751 Hogaboom Lane, St. Mary's City):

Look for Rosecroft Road on the right. Take Rosecroft Road, and then take first right (Hogaboom Lane) to the Visitor Center.
