A Taste of History Bridal Show

Newly engaged?  Thinking of getting married?

Please join us on February 25, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., for our annual bridal show at the reconstructed State House of 1676.  There will be lots of vendors showcasing various aspects of a wedding to make your dreams come true!

There is no charge to attend the bridal show for reservations made by February 16.  There is a $5.00 charge at the door for all unregistered attendees.  Call (240) 895-4991 or email MaryB@DigsHistory.org to register, or for more details!

Join us for an incredible, eventful season.
Learn about Maryland’s colonial history while visiting the Woodland Indian Hamlet, the reconstructed Town Center, the Maryland Dove, and the Godiah Spray Tobacco Plantation.
Visit the artifact exhibit and watch a film presentation at the Visitor Center.
Find treasures at The Shop at Farthing’s Ordinary.
Explore the archaeological remains of St. John’s Site Museum.

The Godiah Spray Tobacco Plantation is closed today, so that the colonists can attend our May Day celebration.

Pirates: Fact vs. Fiction

Separate fact from fiction to learn the true and fascinating stories behind the myths and legends that have grown up around pirates. This workshop is filled with hands-on activities that explain pirate life, weapons, and punishments.

Designed for children 11-14 years old

Site Closure: Godiah Spray Tobacco Plantation

The Godiah Spray Tobacco Plantation is closed today, so that the Plantation staff can demonstrate apple cider processing at our annual Beer Fest fundraiser.

The Woodland Indian Hamlet, the reconstructed Brick Chapel of 1667, the Mackall Barn, and the reconstructed Town Center are all open normal operating hours, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The Maryland Dove is open extended hours, until 5:00 p.m., for today only.

Beer Fest

Enjoy brew, food, artisans, and music during this annual museum fundraiser.
